East Webster found some offense this past week as they scored in double digits in every game and won four out of five contests.
East Webster grabbed a pair of key Division 2-2A wins, beating Winona 14-0 and 16-10. They also beat Choctaw County 10-9 and Corinth 12-8 while falling 20-17 to Newton County on Saturday.
East Webster improves to 9-4 on the season and 2-0 in 2-2A play. The Wolverines were set to host rival Eupora on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and travel to Eupora on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in their only scheduled action this week.

Winona 0
The Wolverines scored 11 runs in the third inning on the way to a five-inning, run-rule victory over the Tigers on Tuesday.
EW scored two in the first and then 11 in the third to take the win.
EW had 14 hits in the contest as Wes Silver was 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs scored and five RBIs. Art Thompson was 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs. Sloan Hillhouse and J.T. Slay each scored twice.
The Wolverines didn’t allow a hit on the mound as Walker Johnson got the start and the win as he pitched three innings and struck out eight. John Austin Roberts and Hillhouse each pitched one hitless inning.

Choctaw County 9
The Wolverines held off a late rally to take a one-run win over the Chargers on Thursday.
Each team scored two runs in the first inning and Choctaw scored three in the second inning to take a 5-2 lead. East Webster then responded with five runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth. Choctaw made it interesting with four runs in the seventh.
Wes Silver was 3-for-4 at the plate while Cameron Pilgrim was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Jon Austin Roberts had a grand slam and scored three runs while Dalton Perrigin drove in a pair of runs.
Gray McCarter got the start and pitched one inning, giving up five runs on five hits. Jon Austin Roberts pitched the five scoreless innings and picked up the win as he struck out four. Walker Johnson pitched 1/3 of an inning and gave up three unearned runs on three walks. Sloan Hillhouse pitched to two batters while Kainan Reed pitched the lsat 2/3 of an inning and struck out two.

East Webster built a 14-1 lead and held on to take a six-run win over the Tigers on Friday.
East scored six in the first, two in the second, four in the third and two in the fourth and fifth innings. Winona avoided the run-rule as they scored seven in the fifth and two in the sixth.
East Webster had 13 hits in the contest as Walker Johnson had a huge day with double, triple home run and four RBIs. J.T. Slay was 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored. Wes Silver was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored. Gray McCarter was 2-for-3 with two runs scored while Cameron Pilgrim with a double. Kainan Reed and Dalton Perrigin each had a double and drove in two runs. Sloan Hillhouse and Jon Austin Roberts each scored two runs apiece.
Sloan Hillhouse pitched 4 1/3 innings and picked up the win as he gave up three runs on four hits and four walks while striking out four. Will Gaskin pitched one inning and gave up seven runs while Walker Johnson finished out the game with 1 2/3 innings while striking out four.

In a football like scored, Newton County took a three-run win on Saturday.
Newton County led 7-0 going into the bottom of the third where East responded with nine runs. Newton County then scored five in the fourth and three in the fifth and led 15-9. East then scored three in the bottom of the fifth and sixth as County led 16-15 going into the seventh. In the final frame, Newton County outscored East 4-2 to take the win.
East Webster had 12 hits in the contest as Wes Silver was 3-for-6 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBIs. Connor Shurden was 3-for-5 and scored twice while J.T. Slay was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two walks and two RBIs.
Art Thompson had a three-run home run while Walker Johnson had a two-run home run. Jon Austin Roberts scored three runs and had three RBIs while Cameron Pilgrim walked four times and scored three runs.
Roberts pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up 10 runs, eight unearned, on eight hits while striking out five. Gray McCarter and Kainan Reed each pitched to two batters apiece while Wes Silver picked up the win and pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up eight runs, seven unearned, on nine hits and three walks.

Corinth 8
The Wolverines banged out 13 hits and took a four-run win on Saturday.
Corinth led 6-1 after 2 1/2 innings before East got going with three runs in the third and fourth innings to go up 7-6. East then went ahead for good with five runs in the fifth to take the win.
