The Eupora basketball teams got a much-needed sweep in Division 2-2A play on Friday, taking two games from Bruce.
The Lady Eagles started the night out with a big 53-41 win over Bruce while the Eagles took a thrilling 76-73 win over the Trojans.
Eupora will return to action this week as they host Ethel for Senior Night on Tuesday. They will finish out the regular season on Friday as they travel to Choctaw County.

The Eagles jumped out to a big lead in the first half and held on to take a big three-point win over the Trojans.
The Eagles jumped out to a 24-18 lead in the first period and then outscored the Trojans 21-16 in the second to take a 45-34 lead at the half. The Eagles extended the lead in the third period by outscoring the Trojans 18-14 to take a 59-48 lead into the fourth. Bruce outscored Eupora 25-23 in the fourth for the final margin.
Jarrean Patterson led Eupora with 27 points while D.J. Patterson and Cam’ron Culpepper had 12 points. Zak Morris and Parish Daniels each had six points apiece.

The Lady Eagles grabbed a big division win over Bruce last week.
The Lady Eagles controlled most of the game as they led 12-8 at the end of the first period and 25-17 at the half. Bruce outscored Eupora 8-7 in the third but the Lady Eagles finished off the game by outscoring the Lady Trojans 21-16 in the fourth for the win.
Princess Carr led a balanced Eupora scoring attack with 12 points while Kyla Patterson and My’Niyah Young, Nadia Coffey and Kyla Patterson each had 10 points apiece. Takiyah Townsend also had eight points for the Lady Eagles.
