Wins have been hard to come by for the Eupora Eagles but they got a big one on Tuesday night.
The Eagles used a big second period to take a hard-fought 61-51 win over Winona on Tuesday night. The Eagles lost 79-45 to Houston on Friday.
The Lady Eagles lost both contests last week, falling 42-15 to Winona and 48-19 to Houston.
Eupora will return to action this week as they host Okolona on Tuesday and Bruce on Friday.

The Eagles used a big second period and held on to take a 10-point win over the Tigers.
Winona led 15-13 at the end of the first period before Eupora outscored the Tigers 20-8 in the second to take a 33-23 lead at the half. In a back-and-forth second half, Winona outscored Eupora 12-11 in the third while the Eagles outscored the Tigers 17-16 tin the fourth.
Jarrean Patterson led Eupora with 19 points while Parrion Hill had 12 points. D.J. Patterson had 10 points while Kaleb Rush added eight points.

The Lady Eagles struggled from the field and dropped a 27-point decision to the Lady Eagles.
Winona led 7-0 at the end of the first and 20-7 at the half. Winona continued to extend its lead in the second half, outscoring Eupora 12-6 in the third and 10-2 in the fourth.
Art Hill led Eupora with four points while Nadia Cofey, Mynyiah Young and Princess Carr each had three points apiece.

The Class 4A Hilltoppers dominated the competition early and cruised to a 34-point win over the Eagles.
Houston led 19-10 at the end of the first and outscored the Eagles 22-6 in the second to lead 41-16 at the half. Houston extended its lead in the third, outscoring Eupora 26-15 to take a 67-31 lead into the fourth.
Kaleb Rush led Eupora with 13 points while Jarrean Patterson had 10 points. Corey Simmons and Zak Morris each had seven points while D.J. Patterson had six points.

The Lady Hilltoppers used a big second period to take a 29-point win over the Lady Eagles on Friday.
Houston led 12-5 at the end of the first and outscored Eupora 22-0 in the second to lead 34-5 at the half. Houston outscored Eupora 12-4 in the third to lead 46-9. Eupora outscored Houston 10-2 in the fourth for the final margin.
Kyla Patterson led Eupora with six points while Takiyah Townsend had five points.
