The Eupora Eagles lost three games last week, including a pair of Division 2-2A games against Calhoun City.
The Eagles lost a 6-5, nine-inning game on Monday to French Camp before losing 8-2 to Calhoun City on Tuesday. The Eagles then lost 15-5 to Calhoun City on Friday.
Eupora, now 4-7 on the season, will try to bounce back this week as they travel to rival East Webster on Tuesday. The Eagles will travel to J.Z. George on Thursday and host the Wolverines on Friday. On Saturday, the Eagles will host Choctaw County in a 10 a.m. contest.
French Camp 6, Eupora 5
It took nine innings before French Camp Tok a one-run win on Monday over the Eagles.
French Camp led 3-2 after the third inning and scored one in the sixth. Eupora scored single runs in the fifth and seventh to tie the game. After a scoreless eighth, French Camp scored two runs in the ninth and held Eupora to one to take the win.
Eupora had just five hits but drew eight walks. Carter May was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs while Reed Hale was 2-for-5. Landon Davis drew three walks while Ty Murphy walked twice and scored two runs. Jacob Collum also scored two runs.
May got the start and pitched three innings, giving up three hits and three walks while striking out three. Parker Knight pitched six innings and gave up three runs on seven hits while striking out five.
Calhoun City 8, Eupora 2
The Wildcats scored six runs in the sixth to take a division win over the Eagles on Tuesday.
Calhoun scored one in the first and third while Eupora tied it with two runs in the fourth. Calhoun scored six runs in the sixth to take the win.
Eupora had two hits as Parker Knight singled and scored while Tanner Fletcher singled and drove in a run. Cade Adkins also walked twice.
Reed Hale got the start and pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven. Chris Robinson got one out and gave up four unearned runs on three hits and a walk. Tanner Fletcher pitched the last 1 1/3 innings.
Calhoun City 15, Eupora 5
The Wildcats used a pair of big innings to take a six-inning, run-rule win over the Eagles on Friday.
Calhoun scored four in the second and nine in the sixth with single runs in the fourth and fifth. Eupora scored three in the third and two in the fifth.
Eupora had just four hits as Carter May was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs. Ty Murphy doubled and scored a run while Landon Davis and Cade Adkins each scored two runs apiece.
Adkins got the start and pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up five runs, only one earned on one hits and five walks while striking out four.
