The Eupora tennis teams finally got on the courts last week and split a pair of matches.
After a 4-3 loss to Neshoba Central, Eupora grabbed its first win with a 5-2 victory over Winona. Eupora will return to action on Monday as they host New Hope and will travel to Caledonia on Tuesday. Eupora will open division play on Thursday as the host Leland.

Eupora dominated on the boys side, taking all three points as they took a three-point win over Winona.
In boys doubles, Walker Mitchell and Garrett Crimm took a 6-4, 5-7, 11-9 win at the No. 1 spot while Cliff Jernigan and Woods Mitchell won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 spot. In both single, Grant Frank secured a point as he cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win
In mixed doubles, Grant Frank and Wesleigh Cummings won in mixed doubles, taking a 6-2, 6-0 win.
Eupora’s other point came from No. 2 girls doubles as Madison Goodrum and Jasi Brook Galloway won 6-2, 4-6, 10-6. In No. 1 girls doubles, Belle Powell and Lillian Winter lost 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 while Grace Burton also lost in a third-set tiebreaker, falling 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Neshoba took a tight one-point win over Eupora to open the season.
In girls singles Gracie Burton took a dominating 6-2, 6-0 win in girls singles. In girls No. 2 doubles, Madison Goodrum and Jasi Brooke Galloway also took a win and won 6-3, 6-4. Eupora’s other point came at mixed doubles as Grant Frank and Wesleigh Cummings took a 6-4, 7-6 win.
