The Eupora Eagles gave one of Class 2A’s best teams all they wanted on Friday night.
East Union scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a 1-0 win on Friday night. The Urchins finished off the series with a 5-2 win on Saturday.
Eupora finishes the season with a 13-14 record.
East Union advances in the Class 2A playoffs and is now 24-4 on the season and has won 22 of 23 games. East Union advances to take on Calhoun City, who beat Lake 8-3 and 9-2 in the second round of the 2A playoffs.

The Urchins needed eight innings to take a walk-off win on Friday night.
East Union outhit Eupora 4-3 in the contest as the Eagles struck out 15 times.
Al Dumas had a double for Eupora while Brett May and Jacob Collum had singles.
Tanner Knight got the start on the mound and pitched 5 1/3 innings as he gave up three hits and one walk while striking out nine. Brett May pitched the final 2 innings and gave up one unearned run on one hits and four walks while striking out three.

The Urchins ended the Eagles’ season on Saturday with a three-run win on Saturday in Game 2 of the series.
East Union’s Carter Phillips picked up the win, pitching seven innings and giving up two runs on five hits.
East Union had 10 hits in the contest, led by Preston Crump who was 3-for-4.
