East Webster dispatched of New Site in two games but not without a fight from the Royals.
East Webster took a tight 6-5 win on Friday night and then took Game two 9-7 with three runs in the seventh inning to sweep New Site in the second-round series.
The Wolverines improve to 22-6 on the season and advance to take on the winner of the Ingomar and Bruce series. Bruce won Game 1 6-4 while Ingomar took Game 2 18-6. Game 1 of the series will be on Thursday while Game 2 will be on Friday.

Jon Austin Roberts had a huge night at the plate as the Wolverines took a one-run win over the Royals on Friday night.
New Site opened with two runs in the top of the first and led 4-1 after the Royals scored two in the top of the third. East Webster then tied up the score with three runs as Roberts drove in two runs with a double, scoring Wes Silver and J.T. Slay. The Wolverines then added two more runs in the fifth when Silver singled and Roberts homered over the left-field fence for a 6-4 lead. New Site scored one in the seventh for the final margin.
Roberts was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run as he scored two runs and drove in four runs. J.T. Slay was 2-for-3 while Sloan Hillhouse was a single with one RBI. Silver singled and scored twice while Art Thompson singled and scored.
Roberts got the start on the mound and pitched 2 1/3 innings, giving up four runs on four innings and three walks. Thompson pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up one run on four hits while striking out three to pick up the win. Walker Johnson picked up the save as he struck out two.

East Webster scored three runs in the seventh and held on take a two-run win.
New Site led 2-1 after the first but East Webster scored three in the top of the second to take a 4-2 lead. New Site took the lead back with three runs in the third for a 5-4 advantage. East Webster scored two in the fifth and New Site two in the bottom of the sixth as the Royals led 7-6 going into the seventh.
East then took the lead back in the seventh as Sloan Hillhouse singled to open the inning and Hastings Gipson followed with a two-run home run to take the lead back. J.T. Slay reached on a fielder’s choice and scored on an RBI single by Wes Silver for the final run of the game.
East Webster had 13 hits in the contest as Hillhouse was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Art Thompson was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Slay and Silver were each 2-for-4 while Dalton Perrigin and Jon Austin Roberts each doubled and scored a run. Hastings had a home run and drove in three runs.
Gray McCarter got the start on the mound and pitched 3 innings, giving up five runs on three hits and six RBIs. Walker Johnson pitched the final innings and picked up the win as he gave up two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out seven.
