IUKA – Choctaw County boys won the Division 4-3A track meet and the girls finished third behind Water Valley and Houston.
The boys had four winners and placed in the top four in an event 29 times. The girls had four winners and three fourth-place finishers.
The top four in each event qualified for the Region 2-3A meet Friday at Winona.
Boys winners were junior Israel Whitmore in the high jump at 6-2, junior Trenton McGee in the pole vault at nine feet, senior Taliak Davis in the discus with a throw of 120-4 and the 3200 relay team.
For the girls, seventh grader Fannie Miller won the 100 in 13.35, sophomore N'Kia Belk the 300 hurdles with a time of 58.02, sophomore Eilundra Curtis the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, half an inch and the 400 relay team finished first.
Belk was fourth in the long jump and the 800 and 1600 relay teams both finished fourth.
Boys qualifiers included second place finishes by Whitmore in the shot put, Landon Toombs in the 400, Devonta McMillan in the 800, Brandon Hadley in the 1600 and 3200, Rahiem Taylor in the 300 hurdles, Julian Foreman in the triple jump, Isaac Burdine in the pole vault, Julius Buggs in the discus and the 400 and 1600 relay teams.
Finishing third were McGee in the 1600 and 3200, Foreman in the 110 hurdles, Jared Bellew in the high jump and Taylor in the pole vault.
Fourth place finishers were Terence McNeal in the 400, Hadley in the 800, Burdine in the 3200, Tyresee Miller in the 110 hurdles, Tyler Holman in the 300 hurdles, Chris White in the triple jump, Buggs in the shot put and the 800 relay team.
