The Nanih Waiya girls split a pair of games this past week on the hardwoods.

The Lady Warriors beat Winona 52-38 and dropped a 44-43 decision to West Lauderdale.

The Warriors lost both games, falling 67-39 to West Lauderdale and 63-34 to Winona.

Coahoma edges by ECCC Warriors at home

The East Central Community College Warriors lost a heartbreaker to Coahoma Community College on Monday night, 82-80, to fall to 2-4 on the year. The Warriors are back at home this Thursday, December 2 as ECCC hosts Pearl River Community College at 6 p.m. to tipoff MACCC play.

USM set to host MHSAA football championships this weekend

FCA students chosen for all-region football team

The Region 3-1A coaches recently released their all-region football team and French Camp was well represented on the squad with six first-team selections.

Making the Region 3-1A team from French Camp was Cody Perry, Macon Bentley, Rob Surrette, Ethan Wright, Javon Hood and Bradley McCoy.
