Lady Tigers excited about second week of season

The Noxapater volleyball team finally began play last week, taking on a trio of first-year programs. “They were all athletic and were pretty good,” said Noxapater head coach Pam Mills. The Lady Tigers fell to Eupora and Neshoba Central in straight sets, but won a game against East Webster.

Lady Patriots have 3-0 week on volleyball court

Winston Academy has been building for a week like they had this past week and the schedule that Candice Cefalu had put her team through early helped get them there. Through the first couple of weeks, WA played a grueling stretch of games with losses to Lamar School, and one of the state’s best teams in Jackson Academy twice.

Holmes hosts baseball showcase Sept 19

Holmes Community College head coach Scott DeLoach has scheduled the 2020 Bulldog Baseball Showcase for Saturday, Sept. 19 at 8:30 a.m. for players graduating during the 2021-24 school years. The showcase will consist of a pro-style workout (60 yard dash, defensive evaluation, bullpens, and hitting evaluation).
