The Noxapater baseball team used an explosive offense to advance in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs last week.

The Tigers scored 35 runs as they swept Hollandale Simmons 17-5 and 18-11 last week in Class 1A first-round action.

Noxapater Lady Tigers season ends in close on

The Noxapater softball team saw their season come to an end last week.

The Lady Tigers finished out the regular season as they dropped a 14-13 decision to Kemper County.

Noxapater finished the season with a 12-13 record and just missed making the Class 1A playoffs.

The Warriors started with week with a pair of contests, losing 16-6 to Choctaw County and then beating Philadelphia 19-4 to finish the regular season.
