The Louisville Fortnightly Club met Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Lake Tiak O’Khata. Mrs. Stanely Hathorn, President, welcomed everyone. There were thirteen members and four guests present. How very special to have four generations from Mrs. Meredith Matthews family present!
It was a rainy day for storytime Friday at the Maben Public Library. We read "The Penguin Who Wanted to Fly."
He was a creative penguin whose name was Flip Flop. He wanted to fly so he thought of lots of ways to help him fly.

Hope everyone had a blessed holiday.
My family and I did. We took a small vacation to a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tenn. We had a wonderful time together playing games at the cabin, ice skating, as well as snow sledding. It was just a ball.
Webster E-911 staff enjoyed a Christmas party Dec. 13 at the Webster County Emergency 911 Center in Mathiston. Assembled are Mattie Webster, Tiana O’Briant, Director Jimmy McLemore, Peggy Stuckey, Alisha Connell and Tanner Pritchard.
Community Counseling Services has an annual toy drive to help some of the children and families CCS serves at its facility in Eupora. Gretchen Purtee presented a donation from the staff of Sky Family Dental to Webster County Administrator John McLendon on Dec. 16.
The Controllers Generation III 4-H Club participated in a workshop conducted by Yolanda Pruitt, Tobacco Coalition project manager, in December. After watching a video, a question-and-answer session was held. Participants also received information along with a certificate for attending.
