The Maben Home and Garden Club is happy to announce that the yard of Teresa Hendrix won the Yard of the Month for August.
The sign was placed by club member Pat Harpole. Each month the club assigns a member to view the yards in the Maben area and judge them on “Curb Appeal.”
The Controllers Generation II and III 4-H clubs in collaboration with Pleasant Hill U.M. Church recently presented a Back to School Praise . There was singing and praying, and words of encouragement were provided by Pastor Jennie Justin. Backpacks and school supplies were provided for students in Pre-K up to college level.
The Louisville Rotary Club program for July 24 was Ronnie Westbrook, Director of the Small Business Development Center for East Central Community College. He gave a very interesting program on how how his office helps entrepreneurs go through the process of opening and growing a business and the many services that his office provides.
Good morning, Hope everyone had a blessed week. It was yet another wonderful day Sunday to be in the house of the Lord. I was sure glad to have everyone in service, including my daughter and my grandbabies.
Brother Mason taught a great lesson on maturity in the Lord. We had a great worship service.

Holdiness spoke on military service, law enforcement service, service in the church and ways each person can use their talents to serve a community and others.
