“Br’er Rabbit is a central figure as Uncle Remus tells stories of the Southern United States. He is a trickster who succeeds by his wits rather than by brawn, provoking authority figures and bending social mores as he sees fit.” Wikipedia
The Maben Public Library has burst out in blooms and bunny rabbits, Easter trees, eggs, Br’er Rabbit books by Joel Chandler Harris and Beatrix Potter books about Peter Rabbit, and baskets filled with eggs on tabletops, countertops and shelves, curio cabinets, and on the genealogy cabinet.
The public is invited to come out and see the new display.
The library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Mary Boutwell is the librarian.
