Greetings in the name of the our Lord and Savior.
Let’s start with a song: “Glory Hallelujah, I shall not be moved, Anchored in Jehovah, I shall not be moved. Just like a tree that’s planted by the waters, I shall not be moved.”
How many times we have sung that wonderful hymn and yet we are not going forward, but slipping back? So many are backslidden this morning and don’t even realize it. Just sit back and think about all the things you once were involved in pertaining to righteousness and you no longer have a desire to be around those things.
Friends, we need to stop and examine ourselves and see where we stand with God. 2 Peter 2:21 says, “For it had been better for them not to have know the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.”
The word says, “Many are called but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14).” If you have a calling on your life, you can’t get away from it. Romans 11:29 says, “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”
Thank God for his precious love and mercy.
