Dr. Seuss Read across America started at the Maben Public Library on Friday.
We read “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss. We talked about some of the pseudonyms he used. He was an interesting author.
“Green Eggs and Ham” talks about children needing to try different foods no matter what they look like to see if it its a food they will like. The book also has many rhyming words the children had fun with.
They ate green eggs and ham and, for a special treat, Joni Cannon brought Dr. Seuss cookies. After painting with dot markers we blew up green balloons for them and they had fun keeping them in the air.
Friday we had Lilli Cate Anderson, Kaylyn Davis, Lydia, Mason and Sadie Thornton, Aiden and Nathan Scerbak, Hunter Vaughn, Kale Cannon, Tyler Finn and Ollie Stage, Jolene and Yates Ford.
