The Four-County Electric Power Association family is mourning the loss of one their own.
Former Director Charles R. “Bob” Power passed away at his Ackerman home Dec. 22 at the age of 81.
Power, a retired farmer, served on the board for 26 years, from 1983 until he stepped down in 2009. He represented the association’s District 5, which includes Choctaw and Winston Counties. Power was always proud of his work with 4-County, especially the cooperative’s positive impact on its members.
Four-County CEO Brian Clark says he will be missed.
“Mr. Power served 4-County during a time of great change in the electric industry and his leadership helped us become the cooperative we are today. After he retired, he stayed involved with 4-County, serving on our Member Advisory Committee and providing us with his knowledge of the business and his wisdom. We will miss him,” said Clark.
