Southern Image Quartet will be in concert at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at First Baptist Church of Eupora.
Based out of Tupelo, the quartet began as a ministry of the local church to serve as an enhancement to worship. However, it soon became apparent that God had other plans. The group found itself being requested for appearances outside the local church.
From that beginning over 15 years ago, Southern Image has been blessed immeasurably. The quartet combines fresh original music with the sounds of Southern and country gospel music with songs from yesterday known as classics and the message of Christ.
Over the years, the group has been privileged to perform with such artists as Squire Parsons, Palmetto State Quartet, the Perrys, Tony Gore, the Hoppers, Brian Free and Assurance, Gold City, the Florida Boys, the Kingdom Heirs, Signature Sound, the Anchormen, the Dixie Echoes, the Dove Brothers and New Ground.
Southern Image Quartet has made several radio and television appearances, and is a regular on Gospel Music Expo, June Jubilee and Gospel Crossroads Supper Club. It has also performed at the National Quartet Convention.
