The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s office is investigating the death of 40-year-old Kimberly Belk.
Belk’s body was discovered on a dirt road off Rock Hill Road in northern Oktibbeha County and pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday, September 22, 2019. The body has been shipped to the state crime lab for the autopsy.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff Steve Gladney is asking for help from anybody who might have information about the incident. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office at (662) 323-2421 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
State crime scene technicians from Jackson were also on scene for the investigation, which continued well into the evening on Sunday.
The area is heavily-wooded with few residencies. The initial call came in around 6 a.m.
