What a beautiful Sunday. Wonderful weather, not too hot just yet, almost perfect. Many have been working on their yards and gardens. Mrs. Mary Brown has a great looking flower garden and also Mr. Jamie Brown’s garden is looking and coming along well. Mrs. Clemmie Whitaker and Eva Mae Poe are feeling some better. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. Also, pray for these urgent prayer requests: for Mrs. Shirley’s grandson, Ashton, after a four-wheeler wreck and for her brother Larry. Urgent prayer is also needed for Tony and Donnie Avent after a bad motorcycle accident. TIME CHANGE: Our church service times have officially changed. We have not started Sunday school back just yet, however, it’s not far off. We are going to begin with our new church service times this * coming Sunday at 10 a.m. This will help accommodate many of our church families. We had a wonderful time of worship this Sunday morning, just a sweet, sovereign move of the Lord. The sermon this week came from the subject of God’s covenants. Genesis 17:1-8 and also many more scriptures in the Old Testament. Church, you are being blessed because of a covenant relationship with God. In fact, all our blessings and increases are coming because of the promises of God and the covenants that God started in Abraham. We are blessed, today, according to our faithfulness of loving and faithfully obeying the Lord and his word. Also today, we can hold dear if we have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We have made a covenant relationship with God that was won and created though the life, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The new covenant of his very own blood that was spilled to redeem us as we continue to walk in him, being obedient to God and his word. God performs his word in blessing toward you, because of his covenant relationship with you – just like his relationship with Abraham. Thank God for our forefathers, Founding Fathers, apostles, prophets and disciples for their faithfulness, strength and perseverance to be able to still worship God freely, and we are able to receive the blessing of God’s covenant and promises, thanks to their faithfulness! Lord, we love you. We thank you for your faithfulness to your people, and we ask for your wisdom in these times. We pray for the healing and wholeness for the God-blessed United States Of America. We pray for our leaders to have great faith and wisdom concerning these times. Hope everyone has a blessed week in Jesus’ name! Love in Christ, Pastor Michael Haas.
