The Controllers 4H Clubs did not have a vehicle at Touch-a-Truck but they certainly had face painters that could paint trucks on faces.
United Way of North Central Mississippi hosted the 2019 Touch-a-Truck event on April 27 at McKee Park in Starkville.
The Controllers president, Akeah Graham, received help from Abbie Morrow, a Mississippi University student, and Renee Skinner from WCBI. Between the three, over 200 faces were painting.
The Controllers Generation III gave out buttons and stickers in regards to being tobacco free, their platform, and the Controllers Generation II provided coloring sheets and survivor kits for anti-bullying, their platform.
They also assisted parents who had more than one child by taking a child or children to the various vehicles as well as collecting books.
Both of the clubs truly thank United Way for allowing them to volunteer for this event.
