Billie Breedlove, honorary vice president general of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, recently attended the local DAR chapter meeting, Old Choctaw County, to install the new officers.
New officers are Beth Duncan, regent; Sandra Lobrano, first vice regent; Shana Fondren, second vice regent and recording secretary; Sue Boatman, chaplain; Wendie Ingram, corresponding secretary; Sheila Fondren, treasurer; Wanda Moore, registrar; Rachel Hunt, historian; and Fran Smith, librarian.
The Old Choctaw County DAR Chapter is located in Webster County and has 64 members.
For more than a century the Daughters of the American Revolution have been dedicated to historical preservation, promotion of education and encouragement of patriotism.
