The Rotary Club of Louisville is busy in its year of service and club duties.
Among those duties was the recent hosting of the Rotary District Conference for District 6820 in Louisville on May 13 and May 14 at Lake Tiak O’Khata.
The district conference and the Rotary leaders at the conference discussed Rotary’s mission to help worldwide and in the local communities. As part of the conference, the Rotary leadership also recognized clubs and persons in the local clubs who had helped fulfill the clubs mission of “Service above Self”.
Rotary members believe that people have a shared responsibility to take action on ther world’s most persistent issues. The 46,000 clubs work together to: Promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, save mothers and children, support education, grow local economies, and protect the environment.

Local and international members support the Rotary Foundation which is recognized as one of the top charities by Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator of charities in the U.S..
