Morgan Cole recently competed in the State Reading Fair sponsored by Miss Department of Education.
Her storyboard won the first place title in Division B the Literary Fiction Category for First and Second Grade.
To compete in the State Reading Fair the storyboard must win the first place title in the school, district, and the regional level reading fair.
The competition is difficult on all levels but the regional level provides for the largest number of storyboards vying for the first place in order to continue to the state level.
Morgan competed in the regional competition in 2018 and placed third.
She left the competition with a determination to come back next year and win.
For this year’s competition Morgan chose a book that she liked and prepared herself and her storyboard well. She worked hard on the board and her presentation to the judges. She joins others from Louisville with a “Best in state” title and we are very proud of her accomplishments.
Morgan is the daughter of Erica and Demetric Cole of Louisville.
