O Lord, this is our prayer to you today. Psalms 51:10-12 says, “Create in me a clean, heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
“Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
“Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.”
I know we have all heard the old saying, “If I had known then what I know now, things would be a lot different.” And that’s so true. I’m 72 years old and it’s hard for me to get on my knees and pray anymore, but I think about all the times in my younger days when I should have been on my knees praying and seeking God’s will and not mine.
I have been repenting and asking God to forgive me for all the times I have neglected spending time with him. But praise the Lord, he never quit loving and keeping me.
In Ecclesiastes 12:1, it says, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.”
Remember, we have a choice in who we are gonna serve. Come to Jesus now; he’s waiting on us.
