Happy Thanksgiving to all.
We are in a season to be thankful. It’s a time that has been set aside to give thanks, but we as children of God can count our blessings every day and be thankful.
In Ephesians 5:20, it says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
It’s hard for some to believe that verse when it comes to thanking God for the hard times that you have been through in your life. But we have to realize that the devil cannot touch us without the Lord letting down the hedge that is around us.
We have to remember that it takes intense heat to bring out the impurities in gold. The Word says that we will be tried as pure gold is tried by fire. We know that God has a plan for our lives.
He’s able to deliver us from many things we to through, but sometimes he allows us to go through things so he can go through it with us, just like Daniel in the lion’s den and the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace. He didn’t take them out, but was right there with them.
Friends, I don’t know what you are going through, but rest assured, he will never leave us or forsake us.
Let’s thank God for all the things we have been through and the things to come. We are who we are today because we endured and God brought us through. Amen!
