Ms. Betty F. Moore, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at MS Care Center in Morton, MS. Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 18th, at Lakewood Funeral Home 6011 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS. Interment was at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation was held Monday, April 18, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home. Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Moore was born on February 27, 1936, in Louisville, MS. She taught and influenced the lives of many children throughout her career as a teacher. She had a special love for animals, especially her dogs and cats. She had a passion for gardening and was a skilled quilter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Edwin Farish and Corinne Brown Farish; grandson, Drew Moore; and brother, David Farish.
Ms. Moore is survived by her sons, Andrew Moore (Deanna) of Bristol, TN and Patrick Moore (Tammy) of Morton, MS; grandchildren, Nicholas Moore, Mallory Hunt (Geoffrey) and Ben Moore; sister, Janet Veazey; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
