A presentation about The Cross of Christ project was given at the April 16 meeting of the Webster County Board of Supervisors.
Leadership volunteers Joyce Yates, Wendy Cook and Pastor Glenda Mays of The Cross of Christ project addressed the board about the community mission.
Funds are being raised to erect a 12-story all-metal cross at the northwest corner of highways 9 and 82 in Eupora. The area cross is a project of Webster, Choctaw and surrounding counties.
Yates said the project is going well, with $26,000 raised in three months. People can support it by praying, volunteering and giving, she told the board.
“The lifeblood of the project is the churches,” Yates said, and asked the supervisors to mention the project at their churches.
