The Mississippi Department of Education has released report cards for districts and individual schools.
Mississippi Report Cards for the 2016-17 school year were released Feb. 6 and are available at the Reports section of the MDE website (www.mde.k12.ms.us). Report cards for each school and district in the state can be found under the tab labeled “NCLB,” which stands for No Child Left Behind.
The Webster County School District's 2016-17 report card has also been posted on its website at www.webstercountyschools.org under the "About Our Schools" tab.
The Mississippi Report Cards contain the accountability grades and information about school and district performance on statewide assessments, the graduation rate (for high schools and districts) and teacher qualifications.
Most of the information contained in them was made public in October when statewide accountability results for the 2016-17 school year were released. Local results were published in the Progress-Times on Oct. 25.
Mississippi Report Cards for the 2017-18 school year will be redesigned and updated to comply with new requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act.
