The First United Methodist Church of Louisville, located at the corner of Church Street and West Main Street, announce a three-night Revival to be held on September 29-October 1 in the First UMC Sanctuary.
The Preacher will be Bishop James E. Swanson, resident Bishop of the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church. Bishop Swanson is beginning his eighth and final year as the episcopal leader of Mississippi. He also serves as the president of the General Commission of United Methodist Men. He also serves on the boards of trustees for Emory University, Gammon Theological Seminary, Rust College, and Millsaps College.
The services will focus on the theme of "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower" (John 15:1)
Sunday Evening's service will begin at 6:00, and will feature special music by Andrew Miller and "Men for the Master", a men's Gospel music group from Starkville First United Methodist Church.
Monday Evening's service will begin at 7:00, and will feature special music by the Rev. Dr. Connie Shelton of Jackson, Mississippi.
Tuesday Evening's service will begin at 7:00, and will feature special music by Jason Anding of Grenada, Mississippi.
