The 38th Annual Red Hills Festival on Main Street in downtown Louisville is set for Memorial Day weekend Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26. "We are excited to see the festival continue to grow and prosper each year," said Winston County Chamber director Amy Hillyer. "We have great local entertainment lined up for Friday night at the Street Party and Saturday during the festival," said?Hillyer. "It will be fun for all ages!" she added.
Shake the Bucket, a country music band will begin the entertainment Friday night at 6 p.m. and will wind up their set around 7:45 p.m. Pinnishook, a southern Rock band will start playing at 8 p.m. Friday Night. Crawfish will be boiled and served during the concert.
The festival on Saturday will also feature a 5K/fun run, car show, carnival, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors and a stage full of all local entertainment, and much more. The carnival will be downtown starting Friday night and running through Saturday evening.
The Junior Auxiliary of Louisville will host a 5K and Fun Run on the morning of the festival. The Junior Auxiliary of Louisville uses all proceeds for projects to benefit the children of Winston County. The Top Male and Female Finisher in the 5k receive $200 each. The Top Finisher in the One Mile Fun Run will receive $50 cash prize (Must be under 12 to be eligible to win the Fun Run Prize). All Fun Run participants will receive a prize for finishing and will be entered into a drawing for (2) $50.00 cash prizes. The Red Hills Car Show will be at the First Baptist Parking lot, where cars will be judged in more than 30 classes. The car show usually features about 100 vehicles. For more information about the Car Show, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 662-773-3921. The Car show will be signup is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the judging from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Booths for arts and crafts will be $75. Booths for Civic Clubs will be $50. Limited electricity will be available for craft vendors for an additional fee. The Chamber is now accepting applications for spots. Setup is Saturday morning from 5:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Applications are available online at

As part of the day to honor Memorial Day, Boy Scout Troop 5 and Scoutmaster, Shawn Sudduth will be doing the flag retirement at the courthouse and putting up a new flag.
Mrs. Aline Haynes will be cooking up a delicious lunch from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. behind the county court house. The menu will include a catfish plate, grilled chicken plate, and a chicken strip plate.
