The residents of North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora Long Term Care celebrated National Nursing Home Week “Celebrating Life’s Stories” during May 14-18.
The residents set sail with a cruise ship theme of various activities and entertainments during the week.
They began the week by learning the art of towel origami. Residents made various animals out of towels to display throughout the facility. They also celebrated Happy Hour, where residents enjoyed making fruity cocktails and enjoyed delicious appetizers.
A Carnival Game Day was hosted for the residents to participate in various carnival games such as tropical beanbag toss, floating tic-tac-toe and dolphin ring toss while enjoying snow cones.
Several entertainments were performed throughout the week by the Rev. Rob Faulk, Donny Buckner and the Starkville Steppers, who presented a fun line-dancing show.
The final day of Nursing Home Week was celebrated at Whites Creek Lake with an annual cookout with family and friends.
