HARVEY NOKES DEAD: For the second time during the past month death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Nokes, of the Grady community. Last Tuesday night the spirit of their son, Mr. Harvey Nokes, was borne into eternity. About three weeks ago Mr. Wesley Nokes was taken sick and was ill only a few days when death ensued. On the same day his younger brother, Harvey, was taken sick and his illness culminated in a well-defined case of slow fever, from which he suffered until death relieved him Tuesday night. The interment of the remains occurred at Ebernezer cemetery Wednesday at 4 o’clock and the funeral was attended by many friends and relatives. Mr. Nokes was about 22 years of age and just entering into maturity of young manhood. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and was a young man of pleasant and affable manners and numbered his friends by his acquaintances, all of whom unite with us in extending sympathy to the bereft parents.
