Scarcely surviving her late husband thirteen months, Mrs. Zillah DeLoach, wife of Ex-Mayor Sam DeLoach, passed away at her home in this town early Wednesday morning. Miss Zillah Johnson was born and raised in the old Spring Valley neighborhood, but in 1872 her father removed to Calhoun county where she lived until her marriage to Cap. Sam DeLoach in 1902. She joined the Baptist church at an early age and lived a consistent member of that church until her death. She had suffered for many weeks before the end came but during it she bore the pain without mummering, being hopeful to the end. We join the many friends of the deceased in extending sincere sympathy and condolence to the beret relatives in their sore affliction. Maben Press.
