Mr. T. A. Finch received a letter this week from Mr. W. C. Harwell of Harwell’s Mills, La., announcing the death of his wife, which sad event took place at their home on Oct. 18th. The deceased lady had been confined to her bed with consumption for about nine months and for several weeks her death was hourly expected by those at her bedside. Mrs. Harwell was an elderly lady being near her 65th year. She was a native of Louisiana and was the mother of a large family of children. Her bereaved husband, Mr. Harwell, was born and reared in this county, but in early manhood moved to Louisiana and has since been a resident of the community in which he now resides. He is closely related to our friend and fellow townsman, Mr. Thos. Finch and is a grandson of Mr. Wm. Castle, deceased, who is well-remembered by our older citizens as one of the pioneers of this county, which in his time was part of Choctaw. Mr. Harwell has numerous friends and relatives throughout this section who waft him their tenderest sympathies.
