The Second Primary took place last Tuesday and as a result it seems that Lee M. Russell has won the nomination for Governor by a majority of about 5,000 votes; however, the Johnston Headquarters have not yet given up the fight, claiming that Johnston will win by about a 500 majority. John F. Frierson was elected Lieut. Governor. W. J. Buck was elected Clerk of the Supreme Court. W. B. Wilson is in the lead for Railroad Commissioner. Davie E. Crawley was elected District Attorney from the 5th District by about a 133 majority.
A Card: I desire to express my thanks to my friends for the interest they took in my candidacy for Supervisor. I was defeated by a small majority. I think they did the right thing for this is a very important office and should have the best man we have to fill it. I feel that I am relieved of a very great responsibility and have no unkind feeling or malice toward anyone. Again thanking my friends for their support, while I was in such a helpless condition, I am truly, Your humble friend, T. F. McGee.
