SPECIAL NOTICE: I beg to call the attention of all the people of Ackerman to the fact that it is a violation of the ordinance to ride bicycles, etc., and skate on the Sidewalks. I am a friend to the children and do not want to interfere with their pleasures, but the Sidewalks were put down at a great expense to the taxpayers to walk on, and this coasting and other riding on the walks is not only dangerous, but it interferes with pedestrians. Considerable complaint has been made to me that this practice be stopped and I am calling on the people generally to cooperate with me and see that this ordinance is not violated in the future. If the practice is persisted, I shall have to do my duty. So do not blame me. H. Cochran, Marshal.
GINNING NOTICE: This is to notify the public that I am ginning cotton for 30 cents per 100 pounds and have not charged more than 30 cents during this season and will at no time during the season charge more. Am furnishing Bagging and Ties at $2.00 per wrap. J. T. Moore and Company, Weir, Miss.
