We read “It Could Still Be a Flower” by Allan Fowler at the Maben Public Library on Friday.
This book is one of many by Fowler that can be found in the library. His books are true books about plants, animals and just about anything you would want to learn about.
This book told of the many different kinds of flowers, including roses, morning glories, irises and azaleas. It shows how some flowers grow from seed, some from bulbs and some are wildflowers that people don’t plant.
Some are grown in trees and shrubs, and we can enjoy them all with their different shapes and colors. Some even smell sweet!
We planted flower seeds for our mothers for Mother’s Day and gave mothers a yellow rose. Sidewalk chalk was also enjoyed with some drawing pictures of flowers.
Attending were Rani, Andrew, Jonas, and James Walter Scrivener; Joshua, Lydia and Mason Thornton; Adelyn and John Wyatt Parker; Lilah, Jacob and Isaiah Woodard; Mia, Kali and Micah Huffman; Kipton Gerrish; Sutton Adams; Raynee Fowler and Kaden Parker.
