Hope everyone had a blessed week. It definitely has been summertime weather. Most of you all know this is typical Mississippi weather — hot.
I will start by saying, “Thank you Lord.” We are excited at my house because my son Andrew has graduated from high school. He is about to head off to college end of this month. Also, our daughter Ashley of 27 is now finally delivered. She had about two weeks ago our precious little granddaughter.
We had a great Sunday. The message came from Judges 1. King Adoni-bezek finally reaped what he sowed by losing his thumbs and big toes. Now this king is no longer a threat to the children of Israel, for God helped win the battle for them.
The devil wants to incapacitate us so we will not be effective in battle or ministry. Cutting off the thumbs and big toes of men renders even the mighty men of valor helpless, for now they could no long grip a sword with any strength and no longer fight in battle because it’s hard to walk much less stand strong without big toes.
So remember, the devil is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour and trying to steal our soul as the Scripture says. We need to be ready for the devil is on the prowl seeking.
That means we must be prayed up, and working our spiritual muscles so the enemy cannot overcome us for we’ve been made stronger through prayer, study and worship.
Just remember that if we look at life from a boxing ring, we don’t have to worry but be courageous, for God is in our corner. We are not alone if we are in Christ. All things are possible to them that believe.
No matter what the devil may try, he cannot win. Do not become incapacitated, but become victorious through the faith and strength in God.
Please continue to pray for T.J. and family. God bless and hope you have a wonderful week. Come out and join us.
