The Eupora Eagles managed just one win this past week as they dropped three straight games.
After a 17-5 win over French Camp on Monday, the Eagles fell 6-0 and 5-2 to Calhoun City in a Division 2-2A showdown. The Eagles finished the week with a 12-3 loss to Vardaman on Saturday.
Eupora, now 4-9, will try to turn its fortunes around as they take on rival East Webster this week in a key 2-2A battle with the Wolverines. The two teams will play Tuesday at East Webster at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday at Eupora at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles will finish off the week on Friday with a 2 p.m. home contest against Starkville Academy.

The Eagles banged out 15 hits and took a 12-run win on Monday over the Panthers.
The Eagles trailed 3-1 after the first inning and tied it up with two in the second. The Eagles scored two in the fourth and led 5-4 after four. But it was all Eupora from there, scoring five in the fifth and six in the seventh to take the win.
Tanner Knight had a big day at the plate, going 4-for-6 with two doubles, four runs scored and three RBIs. Al Dumas was 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs scored and three RBIs. Zack Cooper was 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs. Brett May was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs while Ian Garrard was 2-for-6 with two RBIs. Ash Dumas scored two runs while Jacob Collum and Carter May drew three walks apiece.
Tanner Fletcher got the start and only got one out as he gave up three runs on three walks and one hit. Carter May came in relief and pitched 1 1/3 inning and gave up one hit and walked four. Al Dumas pitched four innings and gave up one run on one hit but walked six. Cade Adkins pitched the final inning and gave up on run on three walks and struck out two.

The Eagles were shut out on Tuesday as they opened Division 2-2A play against Calhoun City.
Calhoun scored two in the first and sixth innings and added one in the third and fifth innings.
Eupora scattered six hits as Ian Garrard was 2-for-3 while Brett May, Carter May, Cade Adkins and Ash Dumas each had singles.
Tanner Knight got the start on the mound and pitched 4 2/3 innings giving up four runs on four hits and four walks while striking out nine. Brett May pitched the last 1 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on three hits and three walks.

The Eagles outhit the Wildcats 6-2 but gave up eight walks as they dropped a three-run decision to the Wildcats on Friday night.
Eupora had single runs in the first and fourth innings while Calhoun scored three in the third and two in the fourth.
Eupora had six hits in the contest as Ash Dumas singled and scored. Zack Cooper and Brett May each had RBI singles while Al Dumas, Ian Garrard and Carter May each had singles.
Brett May pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on two hits and five walks. Cade Adkins pitched the final 3 1/3 innings and struck out four.

The Rams scored seven runs in the bottom of the first and cruised to a nine-run win on Saturday.
Eupora scored two in the third and one in the fifth but never threatened the lead.
Eupora had five hits in the contest as Tanner Knight was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. Dustin Cabaniss was 2-for-3 and scord a run while Al Dumas doubled and scored a run.
Dumas got the start and only last 2/3 of an inning, giving up six runs on four hits and two walks. Carter May pitched two innings gave up three runs on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Tanner Fletcher pitched the final four innings and gave up three runs on three hits with two strikeouts.
