Six people have qualified for a special election to fill an alderman’s unexpired term in Maben. Next week’s election will be to fill Robert J. Herd’s vacant seat on the Maben Board of Aldermen through June 2025. He resigned effective June 30 after he was hired as executive director of the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority IV.
