Inadvertently unreported from the Choctaw County Board of Supervisors meeting, held on Monday, June 1, was the matter of a request by the Choctaw Regional Medical Center for reimbursement of a loan payment in the amount of $571K. District 2 Supervisor Greg Fondren pointed out that $81K in interest had already been paid.

Supervisors discuss new firehouse/ambulance station

In their meeting, on Monday, May 18, the Choctaw County Board of Supervisors discussed the possibility of building a new firehouse in the Chester community, which act as an ambulance station. Currently, one of the Pafford EMS crews is stationed at Choctaw Regional Medical Center, and the new firehouse would make for better accommodations.

Ackerman Aldermen hire Public Works Director

In their monthly meeting, on Tuesday, May 5, the Ackerman Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to hire Ben Chambers as the new Public Works Director, to take the place of Mike Brasher who will retire in June. CCHS graduation details set
