The Louisville Police Department is still reeling from a busy weekend as they investigate a shooting Friday, a self-inflicted shooting and assisted Noxubee County Saturday.
Details are still emerging as to what led to a shooting or what appears to have been two separate shootings Friday night at a graduation party.
Louisville Police Department Investigator Zae Henderson said officers were called to the scene at 11:49 p.m. on a shots fired call.
He said the incident happened at The Old Dynasty, located on Fox Street where a young lady was shot in the leg. Henderson said her being shot wasn’t intentional and she may have been caught in the crossfire.
He said there were also shell casings found behind CarRite, and it is believed that there may have been two separate incidents, but both tied in together.
Henderson stated that video footage showed the shooting, but nothing up Fox Avenue, so they’re still putting the pieces together as to what happened.
Saturday, he said around 2:30 p.m., there was a call that a home on Metts Street was being shot at, however; it turned out to be an accident shooting with the shooting being self-inflicted.
Later that evening, he said they were called to Highway 25 South, by transporters from Noxubee County were taking prisoners to Rankin, where there was a fight on the transport van.
