This issue of the newspaper marks the beginning of the Winston County Journral’s coverage of the top five sports stories for the 2019-20 school year for Louisville High School, Noxapater High School, Nanih Waiya High School, Winston Academy, and Grace Christian School.
The top five stories for each school have been chosen and we will count them down each week from No. 5 to No. 1. Suggestions were requested from the coaches, administrators, school supporters and the general public.
The consensus No. 1 story is the affect the Coronavirus has had on athletics, especially the spring activities.
Each week’s addition will reveal one on more of each schools top stories, while on May 27, the same day the No. 2 story will be unveiled for each school, a story will also run on the Coronavirus pandemic, the undisputed top story.
