The Nanih Waiya fast-pitch softball team used a 10-hit attack to take a 15-9 road win over Columbus last Tuesday, before dropping a pair of games Monday in contests played at Kosciusko.
The Lady Warriors dropped an 11-1 decision to Kosciusko and an 11-2 contest to union.
Nanih Waiya is set to host Noxapater on Tuesday and French Camp Academy on Thursday (March 19), before visiting Morton on March 21.
Nanih Waiya scored seven times in the third and three times in the fourth to go up 10-3, before Columbus scored four times in the sixth to cut the NW lead to three. The Lady Warriors added five more in the seventh.
Gabby Keel ripped a triple and double to lead Nanih Waiya, while Addison Price cranked out a pair of doubles and drove in three runs. Carlee Presley had a double and single and scored three runs for the winners, while Kaylee Gregory had two singles and Skylar Eaves smacked a double.
Mackenzie Eaves and Jaylee Stokes had a single each. Stokes had two RBIs, while Eaves sacred three runs and Gregory and Jade Chandler crossed the plate twice each.
A six-run first was all Kosciusko needed to take the 10-run win over NW. Stokes doubles for the Lady Warriors, while Price singled and drove in Dallyn Nance in the third inning.
Mackenzie Eaves tripled and drove in a run for NW in the loss to Union, while Stokes and Presley each singled. Eaves and Nance each scored for the Lady Warriors.
BASEBALL
The Nanih Waiya Warriors dropped a 6-0 decision to Florence on Saturday and was set to play Pearl and Neshoba Central on Tuesday.
The next games on the schedule for NW are a March 17 road trip to Houston and home games against Heritage Academy on March 20 and Pisgah on March 21.
Tatum Luke, Shia Moore, Burket Gillis, and Trevor Holdiness each had hits for the Warriors against Florence.
