The Noxapater basketball teams split a pair or games this past week as they opened division play.
Noxapater swept French Camp as the Lady Tigers won 54-28 and the Tigers won 36-22 on Tuesday.
On Friday, both teams lost to McAdams as the Lady Tigers lost 66-47 and the Tigers lost 87-42.
Noxapater will return to action this week as they host Ethel on Tuesday and travel to Sebastopol on Friday.
Noxapater girls 54, French Camp 28
The Lady tigers dominated the first three periods and took a 26 point win over the Lady Panthers to open district play on Tuesday.
Noxapater jumped out to a 19-6 lead in the first period and then outscored French Camp 16-9 in the second to lead 35-15 at the half. Noxapater then outscored French Camp 17-7 in the third to lead 52-22 going to the fourth. French Camp then took the fourth period 6-4 for the final margin.
Laney Boatner led a balanced scoring attack for Noxapater with 14 points while Kaliyah Moore had 11 points. Nadia Bates had nine points while Caroline Swindle had eight points.
Lanice Green had 11 points to lead French Camp while Eden Box had nine points.
Noxapater boys 36, French Camp 22
The Tigers used a big second period and took a hard-fought 13-point win over the Panthers.
French Camp led 9-5 at the end of the first before Noxapater outscored French Camp 13-3 in the second to lead 18-12 at the half. Noxapater then outscored French Camp 6-4 in the third and 11-6 in the fourth to take the win.
James Kugle and Kyle Phillips led French Camp with nine points while Keon Tucker had eight points.
Benjamin Wright had eight points for French Camp while Ethan Wright had six points.
McAdams girls 66, Noxapater 47
The Lady Bulldogs pulled away late to take a 19-point win over the Lady Tigers in division play on Thursday.
McAdams outscored Noxapater 13-9 in the first and 13-8 in the second and led 26-17 at the half. But Noxapater outscored McAdams 14-10 in the third to cut the lead to 36-31 going to the fourth. But McAdams exploded and outscored Noxapater 30-16 in the fourth to take the win.
Asia Glass led Noxapater with 19 points while Cambree Moore had 10 points.
McAdams boys 87, Noxapater 42
The Bulldogs started fast in each half and used that advantage to a 45-point win over the Tigers.
McAdams jumped out to a 30-11 lead in the first period before Noxapater outscored the Bulldogs 16-15 and trailed 45-27 at the half. McAdams then outscored Noxapater 30-9 in the third and led 75-36 going to the fourth. McAdams then took the fourth period 12-6 for the final margin.
Kyle Phillips and Javion Eichelberger each scored 10 points to lead Noxapater while James Kugle had seven points.
