Tigers split with Clarkdale, Lady Tigers fall Union and Sebastopol

Both Noxapater basketball teams got kicked off last week. The Lady Tigers got their first win on Friday with a 42-22 win over Clarkdale while the Tigers fell 49- 45 in a close contest. The Lady Tigers also lost two other games, falling 42-36 to Union and 46-15 to Sebastopol. Noxapater will host Choctaw County on Tuesday, Nov.

Warriors roll past Leake County in playoff opener

Most every football coach wants their team to be playing their best football in the playoffs. That certainly appears to be the case for the Nanih Waiya Warriors this season. The Warriors used a stingy defense and rugged rushing attack to take a dominating 28-6 win over Leake County in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs.

Warriors hold off French Camp to get the win

Even though French Camp came into last weekís game winless, Nanih Waiya coach James Courtney tried to warn his team that the Panthers were better than their record. That showed on Friday night as Nanih Waiya had to hold off the Panthers for a 38- 34 win. Nanih Waiya improves to 4-4 on the season and are 2-1 in division play.
