Nanih Waiya was scheduled to return to action this week as they host Kemper County on Monday and play at West Point on Thursday. They will then play at Kemper County on Friday and play at Ethel on Saturday.
Nanih Waiya 14, Forest 8
The Warriors used a pair of big innings and took a six-run win over the Bearcats on Monday at Sebastopol.
Nanih Waiya scored six in the first and three in the second and led 9-2. Forest added three in the third and fourth to cut the lead to 9-6. Nanih Waiya then added five in the fifth while Forest added one in the fifth and six for the final margin.
Nanih Waiya had 15 hits in the contest. Tanner Courtney was 4-for-4 while Bentley King was 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. Gavin Daniel was 3-for0-4 while Aiden Hill homered, scored two runs and had four RBIs. Ked Moore was 2-for-5 while Braxton Flake doubled and scored two runs. Eli Stanton walked twice and scored twice as well.
Moore started on the mound and gave up five runs on two walks and four hit batters while striking out. Walt McLendon pitched one inning and gave up two hits while Hill pitched the last four innings and gave up three runs on three hits and five walks while striking out three.
Lady Warriors gain big win
The Nanih Waiya Lady Warriors got in two games last week and split a pair of games.
The Lady Warriors took a 15-0 shutout win over rival Noxapater and then dropped a 9-4 decision to Choctaw Central.
Nanih Waiya was scheduled to play Choctaw County on Tuesday and then travel to Winona on Friday. The Lady Warriors are also scheduled to play a pair of games on Saturday.

The Lady Warriors used two big innings as they took a five-inning, run-rule win over Lady Tigers on Monday.
Nanih Waiya scored eight runs in the first inning and followed with seven in the fourth.
Nanih Waiya had eight hits and took advantage of three walks, three errors and two hit batters. Gillion Eaves was 2-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Morgan Mills was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Carlee Presley was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Natalee Eaves singled and scored twice while Jaylee Stokes also scored two runs. Anna Grace Rigdon also had two RBIs.
Addison Price started in the circle and pitched all five innings, scattering four hits and one walk while striking out seven.
Choctaw Central 9, Nanih Waiya 4
Choctaw used a trio of three-run innings to take a five-run win over Nanih Waiya on Monday.
Each team scored three runs in the first inning and Nanih Waiya added a single run in the second to take a 4-3 lead. Choctaw then added three in the fourth and fifth inning to take the win.
Choctaw outhit Nanih Waiya 9-4 in the contest. Addison Price singled and drove in two runs while Carlee Presley singled and had an RBI. Gillion Eaves and Natalee Eaves each singled and scored while Mackenzie Eaves walked three times and scored a run.
Morgan Mills started in the circle and pitched all five innings giving up nine runs, only four earned, on seven hits and five walks while striking out six.
