The Nanih Waiya Lady Warriors played two games during spring break and were swept in a doubleheader by Eupora.
The Lady Warriors struggled in the field, committing 16 errors in two games and lost 10-1 and 11-5 to Eupora.
Nanih Waiya will return to play after spring break with a division series with French Camp. Game 1 of the series to Tuesday at French Camp while Game 2 is Tuesday at Nanih Waiya.
Eupora 10, Nanih Waiya 1
The Lady Eagles built an early lead and took a nine-run win over the Lady Warriors on Monday in the first game of a doubleheader.
Eupora scored one in the first and five in the second to lead 6-0. The Eagles scored one in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the seventh. Nanih Waiya scored its lone run in the sixth.
Eupora outhit Nanih Waiya 8-3 in the contest but the Lady Warriors had eight errors. Amelia Gully, Anna Grace Rigdon and Alyssa Price each had singles in the contest while Carlee Presley scored.
Addison Price pitched 5 2/3 innings in the time-limit contest and gave up 10 runs but only five were earned. She gave up eight hits and one walk while striking out two.
Eupora 11, Nanih Waiya 5
The Eagles built and early lead and took a six-run win in the second game of a doubleheader on Monday.
Eupora started fast with seven runs in the first and three in the second. Nanih Waiya scored one in the second and third and three in the fourth.
Nanih Waiya was outhit 10-4 in the contest and committed eight errors. The Lady Warriors took advantage of five Eupora errors and five walks. Bria Gregory was 2-for-2 while Addison Price doubled and drove in a run. Anna Grace Rigdon also singled and drove in a run. Amelia Gully also scored two runs while Madelyn Vick walked twice and scored a run.
Addison Price pitched a six innings, giving up 10 runs with only three being earned. She gave up 10 hits and two walks while striking out two.
