The French Camp tennis team is off to a strong start this season.
After opening with two easy wins over Noxubee County and Winona, the Panthers beat Starkville 4-3 last week before falling to the Mississippi School for Math and Science 5-2.
MSMS 5, French Camp 2
The Mississippi School for Math and Science swept the doubles competition and took a 5-2 win on Friday.
In singles, Grace Ann Wade won 6-1, 6-3 on the girls side while Brennan McGlothin lost 6-2, 6-3 on the boys side.
In girls doubles, MSMS took both points as Anna Leigh Bain and Kate Hudson lost 1-6, 6-2, 10-5 at the No. 1 spot while Katie Grace Browning and Ellie Develin lost 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot.
In boys doubles, MSMS took both points as well as Jacob Creswell and Andrew Bain lost 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Bradley McCoy and Conner Privitt lost 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
In mixed doubles, Cameron McDaniel and McKinley Wade grabbed French Camp’s other point as they won 6-1, 6-0.
French Camp 4, Starkville 3
The French Camp girls teams won all of their matches as they helped the team take a one-point win over Class 6A Starkville.
In singles, Grace Ann Wade won 6-2, 6-1 while Brennan McClothin lost 6-1, 6-1 on the boys side.
In girls singles, French Camp took both points as Annaleigh Bain and Kate Hudson won 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while McKinley Wade and Katie Grace Browning won 6-2, 7-5 at the No. 2 spot.
In boys doubles, Starkville took both points as Jacob Cresswell and Connor Privitt lost 6-1, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot while Payton Breazeale and Bradley McCoy lost 6-0, 6-0.
In mixed doubled, Cameron McDaniel and Raney Peacock brought home the winning point with ta 6-3, 6-2 win.
French Camp 7, Winona 0
In action on Feb. 24, French Camp took an easy win over Winona.

French Camp only lost one game in the entire match as they easily beat Noxubee to open the season.

In girls doubles, Annaleigh Bain and Kate Hudson won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Sarah Lane and Olivia Browning won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
In boys doubles, Jacob Creswell and Andrew Bain won 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot while Bradley McCoy and Connor Privitt won 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
