The Choctaw County Charger football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball teams have been busy this summer with summer workouts and even participating in summer games.
The County Boys have participated in 7-on-7s at East Mississippi, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State, where they’ve walked away victorious in each.
Recently, they participated in a 7-on-7 at East Mississippi Community College, where they faced and beat West Point and Louisville for the championship. They also participated in a 7-on-7 at the University of Mississippi.
The County girls basketball teams have been participating in shootouts at Louisville at recently held their own at home with area teams: Louisville, West Point, West Lauderdale, Kosciusko, Ethel and Leake County. They also participated in a shootout in Kosciusko, where they took on Kosciusko.
The County Girls softball and volleyball teams are also holding summer games to help perfect techniques before the upcoming season.
The County Boys and Girls season kicks off at the beginning of August, when the first volleyball game is held.
